Derek Andersen is the Co-Founder and CEO of Bevy, a leading community event platform used by global brands like Salesforce, Google, Adobe, and Atlassian to power their in-person and virtual communities. He is also the Co-Founder of Startup Grind, one of the world’s largest independent startup communities, with over 600 chapters across 125 countries and more than 20,000 events hosted since 2012.

With over 15 years of experience building and scaling communities, Derek is a passionate advocate for human connection and the power of grassroots growth. Prior to Bevy and Startup Grind, he co-founded Commonred (acquired by Income.com) and worked as a product manager at Electronic Arts.

Derek lives in Palo Alto, California, with his wife and four children, and continues to champion community as a catalyst for innovation and impact.
